From the door, take Oakpool or one from to Allendale, or begin Isaac's Tea Trail or take the path to the Chimneys that were used in Lead Mining days.

History

Step back in time...and walk along the Roman Wall, visit Vindolanda. See the most complete Fort at Chesters. Visit England's oldest Gaol at Hexham .

Cycling

Quiet country lanes and excellent off road cycling make this heaven for pedallers of all ages.
